Here comes last minute Halloween knit ideas! Well, you know Halloween usually full of scary stuffs, but what if you don’t want it to be too scary for the little ones? Try knitting cute candy floss monster, it’s cuddly and adorable (and you can also teach the kids not to forget brushing their teeth or candy floss monster will come and get them!). This cotton candy floss monster knitting pattern is very easy to make.

For the mouth, I use garter stitch and different yarn to highlight it. The mouth is knitted in one go as you are knitting the body (yeap, it saves time and headache from having to embroidery later on)

Cute Colorful Candy Floss Monster free knitting patterns

For the yarn, I chose Lincraft Entice for the main body and pink non hairy yarn for the mouth to give it contrast. I just love love LOVE

. It’s soo soft to the touch and has the hairy look fitting for candy floss and monster (Rawr!) If you are making this for babies, please check the yarn is safe as I couldn’t find any information online whether this yarn will be suitable for baby or not.

I have included 2 instructions, one to knit on straight needles or to knit in the round. You can choose whichever you want to do. Obviously, the advantage of knitting in the round is that you have less seaming to do in the end, thus you finish quicker ;) . But if you are just starting out, you may want to try knitting in straight needles as it’s very easy to do!

So, here comes the tiny candy corn, yet another free Halloween knitting pattern! This super cute free knitting pattern is designed by Anna Hrachovec, and you can find it here.

Cute free candy corn knitting pattern
This pattern is easy to make (I would’ve put it down as very easy if not for the requirement to knit with DPN). There is nothing tricky about this pattern other than the tiny size itself. It’s my first time knitting with size 0 needle and it’s quite challenging in a very fun way :) . I’ve used a grey sewing thread to join my knitted mouse hand together — it’s just a light stitch so I can cut the thread off anytime later.
Stuffed toys - Candy Corn easy & fast knitting patterns
Throughout the whole knitting process, the trickiest row I find will be the last 2 stitches on row 9 as you have to knit 2 stitches together in a very tight space. I think i spent most of my time stuck trying to do the k2tog ;) The pattern is very fast to knit otherwise, totaling only 10 rows to complete! Another notable thing, when you are knitting the candy corn, be sure to secure your yarn early as you progresses. The candy corn is sooo tiny and turning it over was almost impossible near the end. But all in all, this candy corn is just too cute to resist (and I think my Marisol feels the same!) ♥

Happy Knitting!

Naughty Candy Corn knitted toyCut yarn, leaving approx. 10cm tail, thread through the loop and pull tight to close the hole. Seam the yarn inside to secure.

By this stage, I seamed all the other cast on & end tails to tidy up, and leaving the last Yellow cast on thread for closing up later on. Now, comes the face embroidery time! I personally use 6mm black safety eyes, but if you are making this for a baby, please embroidery the eyes instead.

Thanks for reading and happy knitting! ♥
