I finished this hat two days ago, but haven’t got a chance to take a photo of it til now. This hat is my first knitting project (I did this one before the Bunny Nugget) and I am really glad I did! Even though it took so long to finish as I get bored easily doing repetitive task, Knitting this hat really helped me practice learning knitting. It’s quite simple so this pattern is really good for beginners.

Felig copying me

He immediately grab my mom’s mobile phone and start copying what I did

I got this hat pattern originally from the HubPages, but I heavily modified it to look like what it is now. Adding an extra colour was intentional as I was wanting to learn how to change colour in knitting, but having an extra large yellow patch with Tigger sewn on was definitely not. The yellow patch was originally done to cover up my mistake as I didn’t use gauge (let alone know what it was) so the hat was ended up being too small to fit! Seeing it’s my first project, I didn’t bother to record what I did so I unfortunately couldn’t give you the modified pattern here. However, feel free to knit the original pattern found on HubPages 🙂

As final touch I purchased the Tigger applique (a Winnie the Pooh character) from Lincraft and sew it on the blank patch. I gave the hat to my 3yr old son, who happily wear it. But, getting him to stand still while I took his photo was another thing…

Felig smiles for the camera

Finally got a shot of him, though it’s a little blurry since he won’t stop moving!
